FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does it cost to stay on Lady Andorina?
It costs £25 per person per night for a berth on our boat and the whole boat costs £200 per night if you don't want to share with other guests.
How do I book?
1. Check the availability calendar to make sure that we're not already fully-booked (fully-booked dates are shown in RED and dates with accommodation available are shown in GREEN)
2. Complete our email enquiry form telling us the dates you'd like to stay and the number of people
3. We'll email you back within 24 hours to confirm that we can accommodate you and provide you with details of our booking payment options
Alternatively you can find us on Airbnb or simply call us on +44 (0) 738 884 7812 and we can do the whole thing on the phone in a couple of minutes!
When can I check in?
You can check in any time between 3pm and 8pm for an overnight stay. If there's nobody on-board when you arrive just make yourself at home. You'll find some information about the boat and your stay on board along with a telephone number to call if you have any questions.
I'm travelling on my own, can I stay on Andorina?
Lone travellers are particularly welcome and whenever possible we will make sure that female guests have the privacy of their own cabin or share with another female guest. When you enquire/book please make sure that you let us know that you're travelling on your own.
Will I have to share a cabin?
You can book a cabin as opposed to a 'night' on Andorina but the cost obviously increases. Otherwise Andorina is a floating hostel with guests taking pot luck. One night you might be sharing your digs with seven other people - another night you may have the entire boat to yourself!
Do you cater for canoeists?
Absolutely. We have plenty of room undercover for wet kit and your canoe can be either tethered next to Andorina or hauled out onto the bank where there's plenty of room.
What about cyclists?
We have loads of room on board for cyclists to leave bikes secured at night.
Can children stay on Lady Andorina?
The short answer is yes. However, Lady Andorina is a boat and for obvious reasons we ask that all children be under the careful supervision of an adult at all times.
Are there any other age restrictions?
No. As long as you're over the age of 16 we're happy to have you stay with us.
Is Andorina suitable for wheelchair-bound guests?
Unfortunately it is impossible to provide wheelchair access to Andorina.
Are there any parking facilities?
There is a a free car park approximately 200 metres from the boat.
Do you provide meals?
We don't provide meals, but Lady Andorina has a fully-equipped galley where you can cook for yourself.
Alternatively, the Eagle barge pub/cafe (open April - October) moored next door to Andorina offers a range of well-priced wholesome food options (as well as a great range of real ales) and if you mention that you're a guest on Andorina you'll get a 10% discount!
Will I have to do chores?
No! All we ask is that you pick up after yourself in the common areas (bathrooms, saloon and galley) and please strip your bed before departure. We'll will look after all the cleaning, so you can get on with enjoying your stay!
Can we bring our dog?
Yes! We love having dogs on board. Your dog will need to be dog-friendly though since the Eagle's dog (Penny) is often with us on the boat.
Do you provide linen?
Yes. All linen is provided (including towels).
How close is Andorina to the Great Glen Way?
It's literally on the doorstep!
